Fuck You, Israel! Fuck You!

Warning ⚠️ The pictures on the bottom of this page are graphic. ⚠️

I ran out of words to convey the carnage, the absurd massacre, the ethnic cleansing, the brutally of the reincarnated Nazi regime known as Israel, in full display for the world to see. Your ancestors would be horrified to see what you have become. You are the very definition of evil.

          THE WORK OF ISRAEL

This is not defending yourselves. This is Genocide.

You have fooled us too long, but no more. This is not propaganda. This is your work. You are the most brutal regime in the world today.

The era of you using antisemitism to silence everyone is over. The world does not hate the Jewish people, the Palestinians and Arab world do. The same way Jews hate the Nazi regime.
For 70 years you kept the population of Palestinians in a concentration camp and now you are killing them, babies and all.
The second wing of the Israeli army is the Jews that look the other while your murder "the animals" and sing the song of antisemitism the moment the rest of us protest.

The Thin Line of the Jewish Argument

The Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, demanded the resignation of UN Chief, Antonio Guterres,  after he stated during a meeting of U.N. Security Council that. "Hamas attacks,"  that killed and kidnapped innocent Jewish civilians, " did not happen in a vacuum."

What happens next, inevitably, is Israeli politicians bringing forth a script that never changes; immediately accusing the voice of dissention of antisemitism and demanding the person to be fired, in an obvious attempt to silence them.
The horrific images of the work of Israel, entire neighborhoods destroyed, including hospitals, illustrate the mighty power of the Israeli army. But nothing on their belic arsenal is as powerful as a single word: antisemitism.

Jewish leaders are the only politicians in the world beyond reproach; no matter how many Palestinians they kill, how many children they slaughter, dare to voice an opposition to their barbaric ways and they will intone the song of antisemitism and self defense.

Screenwriter Aaron Sorkin left his agency, CAA,  this week after one of it's executives, Maha Dakhil, called Israelis actions in Gaza for what it is: genocide. Twenty-four hours later she was publicably apologizing and thanking her "Jewish friends and colleagues" for educating her on the issue. Her education consisted on understanding that Israeli government is above reproach and it does not allow their atrocious actions against Palestinians to be questioned by anyone. And she fell on the sword by promptly resigning. One more voice of dissention successfully silenced.

Jewish people in Jerusalem will openly tell reporters that Palestinians and Arabs are animals and they need to be exterminated.  The Israeli government, just this week, gave Palestinians explicit instructions for Palestinians to leave Gaza through the Egyptian border and then air raided with bombs. How can Jews anywhere in the world remain silent and complicit?

Perhaps, Mr. Sorkin should visit the 5 miles by 25 miles area Palestinians are allowed to occupy and see it for himself the quality of life the Israeli government condemned these people to: water is delivered for the entire month, electricity is rationed, and couple days a week, and on it goes the barbaric ways of the tyrannical Israeli government .

Israeli government is so comfortable with their place in the world that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gave a speach telling the world that he's doing God's work. A prophecy that hails Israelis as good and Palestinians and Arabs as evil. Imagine that.

Here's how this sounds to an atheist: you make up a religion, you begin writing your laws and along the way, when you encounter people you don't like and don't like you, you write in your sacred book how evil they are. And thosands of years later, you tell the entire world that your fictitious God calls for their extermination. And you bomb them, you shoot them, you imprison them and claim self defense. And you call yourselves "the chosen people" How absurd!

The Palestinians are the only group of people in this world not allowed to defend themselves. And defending does not mean going into Gaza and Jerusalem and shooting, beheading, kidnapping people. That's the same thing Israel is doing in Gaza: That's terrorism. If I were a Palestinian leader, or any terrorist group such as Hamas, Isis, or any group fighting for the right to be free, I would take the Ghandi approach.

Offer peaceful Jews around he world free airplane tickets and safe passage to visit the small area two millions Palestinians are confined to. Place them in hotels. Feed them. Treat them with kindness. Believe me, they are not your enemies, the worse you can say about them is that they are "good Germans"  Make no mistake, the Israeli government read daily from the pages they took from the Nazis. And they have perfected the implementation of genocide.

Palestinians leaders should give safe passage for all peaceful Jews to visit Gaza concentration camp and send them home with a full picture of what their genocidal government is doing in their names. To honor their ancestors who died at the hand of the Nazis, have them poetically wear the star of David, like the Nazis did. That's the signal to every Palestinian and terrorists group that they are guests and not to be harmed in any way. What they will see in Gaza will make them ashamed for being complicit to this carnage for so long.

Settlers, the sanitized word they made up for Jewish criminals, invade Palestinian's homes and sacred mosques and force them out of their homes brutally. All under the protection of Israeli soldiers nearby. If the families resist they are coldly, unceremoniously shot by soldiers. Including children.

Dare to voice opposition and the so called chosen people, deploy the same script that has worked for over half a century: scream antisemitism and self defense, and destroy the life of whomever criticize their barbaric ways.

Aaron Sorkin is a "good German" and I apologize for the Germans living today and expect that you'll know that I'm talking about your ancestors. Mr. Sorkin is not alone. I checked the Twitter account of one hundred movie stars, musicians, and other celebrities and there's nothing there.

I checked the last time they posted something to confirm their engagement in social media. After the Israeli government murdered more than 2,000 children, they have nothing to say. They are well EDUCATED.

EDUCATED. Verb. The systematic approach used by the terrorist faction of the Jewish religion to silence their critics.

ANTISEMITISM. Verb. The most powerful weapon in the terrorist faction of the Jewish religion to silence their critics.

A GOOD JEW. Mindset. A person of the Jewish faith that looks the other way while the terrorist faction of their peaceful religion practices genocide and ethnic cleansing.

The Milky Way of Destruction

I have been thinking about Hamas; I have to confess that if you had asked me a few weeks ago to tell you four things I knew about Hamas I would be able to name one: their existence and status as a terrorist organization. My thoughts came together while laying down on top of my car watching the stars with the girl I'm in love with; having lost my mother early and in a horrific way, I immediately feel guilty when happiness surrounds me in anyway. How do I have the right to feel good in this world when the woman who gave birth to me was locked in a mental institution for her entire life. And for something that is treatable: depression.

But tonight, as I looked at the stars, I was not thinking about my mother, my mind was at Gaza where no one tonight is enjoying the Milky Way because the Israeli government decided to use the beauty of the sky as an avenue; an avenue of sheer destruction. I told my partner that I have been asking myself for a few minutes now why I didn't have a stronger reaction to the kidnap of jewish civilians while being furious of the reaction by the Israeli government to the actions of Hamas.

She answered my question so swiftly that I felt as if she had entered my mind and declared it:: " Here it is. Is that what you are looking for?" I had no reaction because you expect this of Hamas. You expect this of terrorist groups, and although you feel empathy towards the victims, you are not surprise by anything terrorists do anymore.

And that realization brought me back to my angry, vicious reaction towards Israel bombing of Gaza; you don't expect jews to behave like that. Jews have always been associated in my mind with the Holocaust, since the first time I learned about the atrocities at concentration camps. This week, for the very first time I realized that I romanticized Israel as a country because of my sympathy towards jewish people. I actually realized that for the very first time in my entire history in this planet I gave a group of politicians my trust. I should have known better.

I have been repeating this all day so I will say it again here: the world should ask of jews what we ask of muslims. Denounce the action of your government; denounce the bombings of civilians and children. There are millions of Palestinians in this world and we can not despise, hate, bare antipathy towards all of them because some of them are criminals and antisemites.

Tonight I learned that I fell out of love with the State of Israel - the same way I feel about China - and see them for what they are, a political group; a government body just like any other; filled with politicians and power hungry individuals who use their position to inflict pain on others and to force groups to bend to their will.

For over fifty years these people have justified keeping an entire group of people imprisoned in what can only be described as concentration camps and while they don't torture them as the nazi regime did, they do bomb and kill and silence the voices of the dissidents. Including children.

Tonight I realized that the Jewish people of today are not the victims of any Holocaust; the real victims have perished many, many years ago. The jewish that are here today are no different than you and I, like us, they have a history of sadness and violence that sometimes make them unable to enjoy life. Unable to forget the atrocities of a not so distant past.

Then, there are the other jews. The ones that hide behind an entire group of people to do what they do best, spread destruction, pain, humiliation and tremendous suffering to another group. When anyone dares to call them on their behavior, they immediately bring out the Holocaust and scream antisemitism. Somehow, they were able to convince the entire world that all jews are alike and pure of intent. Not a single word can be said of any jew without the risk of being accused of disliking an entire group.

Tonight, the Israeli government revealed themselves to me for what they always were, a despicable group of politicians that are killing and oppressing another group in the name of all the jewish community. An image of Hasidic jews come to me: crossing the street with their families. Going about with their days. In peace.

Is it too much to ask that Palestinians are allowed to do the same? And how absurd is it that we are asking. I am an atheist and more and more; an atheist. Thank the heavens for that. Never in all my existence a voice inspired me to plan the murder of thousands. Two thousand Palestinian children died this week alone.

You are not an antisemite if you state the facts; you are anti violence. You are anti war. We are all human beings.

Beyond The Blue Skies

Beyond the blue skies
I may find all the reasons,
so many doubts, so many whys.

There was a time
I thought I knew...
There was a time
I thought I knew...

But it was only youth
exuding from my pores.

Beyond the blue skies
Lie all the answers.
If only I could fly so high.

The Religion Experiment

Enough is enough; how many human beings will the world allow Israel to kill before we call it for what it is: genocide.

And for my Jewish readers, you are not the chosen people; I know that to be a fact because there's no such a thing as a God of any kind. All religion is a made up story to help people deal with the fear of death. ( read Ernest Becker's The Denial of Death)

The rest of us, non-religious people, live our lives ignoring the insanity of all religions until you step over the line. Who gave the Israeli army permission to just bombard a city filled with civilians? How is this different than the insane people who flew planes into the World Trade Center?

You don't get to make up your own God, establish a set of rules and traditions to yourselves and then expect everyone to fall in line praising you for your misguided devotion. Same goes to all religions. We are sharing this planet, as human beings, we are prone to the same diseases, to the pain of watching our love ones leave this earth, hopefully after many years of living.

Yet, all of you, God people, decide on a whim that you have been offended and that killing each other is the answer. And God forbid anyone else with common sense speak against it, that is when you evoke the words you have crafted to allow you to continue to kill each other. Somehow, we have allowed you to get away with this behavior for centuries.

Antisemitic is the most used term ascribed to anyone who disagrees with. your actions in relation to the Palestinian people, who you have put in a sort of concentration camp for many many years. Every once in awhile, you kill thousands of them and expect the world to look the other way. I think that finally we are beginning to see this for what it is: an encampment at best, that under the bright lights of your bombs reveal itself for what it is: a concentration camp. A place you have built it to keep all the Palestinians, to obey all your rules or be sentence to death.

The Jewish people were victims of an inexcusable crime by the Germans and Japanese governments; spend a week in any city in Germany and you will see how serious the German government is in preventing that level of madness to ever be repeated.

In the meantime, the Japanese government chose collective amnesia as a way to avoid the shame they deserve to feel for their participation in the heinous, systematic killing of so many jews.

And now, the descendants of the millions innocent exterminated became the perpetrators of violence against Palestinians. Are Jews claiming Palestinians to be all the same, violent people that need to be exterminated?

This sort of conflict is nothing new; on January 30th, 1972 British soldiers shot 26 unarmed civilians during a protest march in the Bogside area of Derry, Northern Ireland. That is still a stain of shame in the history of that country.

The Israeli army killed over 2,000 people in few weeks and almost 200 children. You can call yourselves "the chosen ones" if that makes you feel better and helps you to navigate the perils of life; but we have our beliefs.

     My beliefs are very simple:

there is no God. I'm alone in this world. Life is hard and way too short, and sprinkled with ephemeral happiness now and then.

Don't drink. Don't smoke.

Don't do any drugs.( Yes. Sugar is a drug. A venom. Toxic to the body.)

Chose one person to share life with and don't cheat on that person.

Wake up. Exercise. Meditate. Practice Omad.

Pray if it brings you solace. ( I do. Sometimes. It brings me closer to my mother and my grandmother and it calms my soul.)

Follow those guidelines to maintain your body health while you find artistic endeavors to strengthen your soul. And life will gift you with the pain you need to grow.

What you don't do with all that pain is call yourselves "chosen ones" and oppress another community for years and years. Native Americans believed all land was sacred; the American military exterminated them all and took the land.

Jews are doing the same, you have taken the land you call sacred and preventing another community from enjoying it. You call yourselves "chosen" and now you have engaged in Nazism. All in the name of a fictitious God.

The bellic arsenal you use against your vocal critics is to evoque antisemitism. So let me be even more clear, all religions are fiction and since I'm a storyteller, beautiful to read. But when you begin killing people in the name of your particular fairytale; that's when the world needs to get together and stop you.

My guess is that the entire world is waiting until you, "the chosen people" kill millions of Palestinians; the exact number the Nazi regime killed. Then we will put an end to this nonsense.

My partner and I drive often through a community in Los Angeles where many Hasidic Jews live; we watch families cross the street in front of us while are at a stop sign, and it is beautiful and a bit poignant; as if we were missing something. The children, boys and girls, nicely dressed, the mother and father walking in front. It always makes me think of how nice it must be to believe in something; a being that is out there looking out for us.

The families always looked so content; calm; one can see that their religion, their faith has given them peace. A tranquility I certainly don't have. I don't comprehend that kind of faith but it is beautiful to see. It is disrespectful to those families when the Israeli government goes around killing Palestinians in the name of their religion. And so is for all the other religions that engage in violence against another.

This is just an excerpt of a CNN report on the genocide committed this week by a group of people who should know better.

These are two sites destroyed  in the name of God.

( what is left of a hospital in Gaza. A functional hospital with civilians inside )

( what is left of the World Trade Center. A functional building with civilians inside )

This is actor Mark Ruffalo, back in 2019, apologizing for calling what the Israeli government is doing for what it is: genocide. I don't dislike religion- just don't believe in it, but I respect people rights to exercise it; but politicians I despise. And hypocrisy.

Unless he is also going to apologize for calling President George Bush a war criminal. There's no difference between what US did in Iraq and Israel is doing in Gaza. Calling genocide for what it is, it's not hyperbole, it is a necessity to prevent the murder of civilians and children.

If the price you pay for protesting the killing of children is that you never make another movie; then you never make another movie.  But you don't get to be vocal only with the crowd that agrees with you.

You should advocate for peace, freedom of religion expression and for the sanctity of human life. Your voice should raise in protest to any group that decides to kill another in the name of their particular fairytale.

Reminiscing

Near the Kirk Douglas theater, in Culver City, a stone's thrown away from the Sony lot, there's a elementary school. 🏫 At precisely 10:24 am, Pacific time, three teachers were trying to line up twenty students or so, to take their photograph. I could have said picture, but photograph is more eternal than a simple picture.
"Picture this!" someone says and then describes what *he/she/they/them* want you to see. And it is never life changing . But no one says "photograph this" because that is serious business; a photograph will stand the test of time and mark that moment forevermore.

Many years from now, those children will look at that photograph and will be unlikely to recall the names of their classmates. My elementary school photograph is framed; it hangs on my hallway; my partner smiles every time she walks by and sometimes mocks me by saying "good morning, Karla Maria" or "good evening, Karla Maria" to the girl I love when I was 8 years old. She says the name loudly so that I can hear it over my acoustic guitar.

My thespian partner is Canadian; I'm convinced Canadians are all extraterrestrials; only golden retrievers are nicer and after years and years I come to find out my yellow fur coated golden retriever are sometimes called Canadian golden retrievers. It makes sense.

It's remarkable to me how many dots in my lifeline connected in these crossing roads in Culver City. The Sony lot is where they once made films, today they focus on making movies. They had a different name then; Columbia Pictures. He who has the gold makes the rules, I venture, so gone is the beautiful lady holding a torch and I will let you tell me what is the image that Sony Pictures chose to inspire those elementary school children, because I certainly can't recall.

A film is a sequence of pictures, frames, lined up together and it was Kirk Douglas who gave birth to the film that would change my life. For many years, he tried to get it made but couldn't arrange financing; when he became too old to play the main character, he gave the screenplay to his son, Michael Douglas. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest won a bucket load of oscars, including best picture - they call everything pictures here in La La Land, it is a word power play by the head of studios to keep those pesty artists grounded. By grounded, I mean well paid; it's easier to control people who work for cash.

I walked into a theater in Brazil and all the dots connected in my mind: fashion, music, photograph, lighting, cobblestone and street lights; a kaleidoscope of things I loved strung together to tell the story of my mother.
At lunch, Ray smiled at me and asked me what I was thinking. It is what Canadians do when Brazilians stop talking.
"I'm reminiscing" I said.
"And when is it that you are not reminiscing?" She asked.
"When I'm thinking of you." I should have said, but I fumbled the moment and took something from her plate instead.

** seriously; if the worst that happens to you today is that someone uses the wrong pronoun for you, count your blessings.
