What am I doing? I like this friend. He's been a true friend for years. I will protect his name in this post.

Our children grew up together. We coached soccer together.

Remember the old adage: "I don't wish this on anyone."

COMPASSION: it's a good thing he doesn't see it. He would be feeling as impotent as I am at this point. Understanding the world 🌍 for what it is. 

GRATITUDE: I am grateful for never have had a feeling of racism, homophobia, ANTISEMITISM, and no prejudice against anyone.

Now I know what it feels to grow up Israeli. The hate inside. The wish that an entire other group of human beings just disappear. 

I despise Israelis and Zionist to the core of my being 

I have hate raging in my veins. 

And it feels horrible. Consuming. Unsustainable.

It's a good thing my good friend is watching Fox news. It's a good thing the propaganda works on him.

I don't wish this feeling on anyone. 

No one should. Look at Gaza. Look what we do to others with hate inside.

Now the world knows how it felt being a good German when your entire country turned against their neighbors; the Jewish community. Now we know how if felt when you know something is wrong but can not stop the war machine. 

Now we understand what my dearest grandmother said to me over and over again: " don't gossip. When you point your finger at other people three fingers are pointed at you."
